Dismal Entry Experience: The Obnoxious CISF Louts

I suppose everyone will agree that the Delhi Metro offers really quick transportation across Delhi. A journey that would have taken a couple of hours by road gets compressed into 50 to 60 odd minutes. The sheer convenience of the mode makes regular commuters ignore the many, many faults and deficiencies that make DMRC anything but a world-class rapid transit system.

  1. Crowd management sucks

  2. Platform space at major stations like Rajiv Chowk, Dwarka Sector 21 and Anand Vihar is so woefully inadequate that accidents are just waiting to happen

  3. Many important stations(Dwarka Sector 21, for example) have(unbelievably) a single Automated Entry Gate. If it breaks down(and yes, it does) you can imagine the chaos.

Anyway, let’s ignore the warts I have mentioned above. Let’s talk about the BIG one: the smug, nasty, obnoxious, boorish, uncouth, nauseating bunch of retards in CISF uniforms who(ostensibly) manage security at the stations. They don’t know how to talk politely. They don’t have basic etiquette. They don’t know how to behave with senior citizens, ladies and persons with disabilities. They treat people from underprivileged backgrounds like animals. They pass comments about commuters. And believe me, if there really is a security issue, these useless retards will be the first to run.

It’s time DMRC realized that a world-class Metro Service isn’t just about air-conditioned, fast moving trains. The point of entry is an equally important part of the commuter experience and these crude louts whom one encounters on the way in are anything but world-class.
