I’ve used the Dell inspiron 14 3420 a few years back and it is a fairly good laptop for the price back then.
The Dell Inspiron 14 3420 has a 2nd generation i3 processor and 2 gigs of Ram to go along with it. Because of this fact it doesn’t offer any high performance but we can’t ask for it in such a price point. The storage is 500GB and because it is 5400rpm, it’s not quite fast. The laptop is also quite heavy for traveling and all.
The 14 inch display is good. And the laptop has all the common features necessary for such a device like Bluetooth, Wireless lan or WiFi, Ethernet port, DVD drive, and a card reader. There is a front camera which is of a very bad quality but it’s better than none at all.
The Chicklet keyboard is of good quality and the multi touch supported track pad is also great. There is also two speakers, which is not good at high volume.
Overall the Dell inspiron 14 3420 is a good laptop for the price. It doesn’t give amazing performance because of it’s outdated specifications, but it is not totally bad. But if you’re looking for a laptop at this price range, it’s better to get an updated version of the same Dell laptop which has newer versions of processor and faster Ram. But for a 5 year old laptop it is still usable.
