I juat brought a brand new dell latitude 3540 about june this year, and my dvd burner just stopped reading on window 7. Someone said if you upgraded my OS to window 8 it might solve the issue as that solved but if I do that I may loose my 1 year MCAfee antivirus license.the icon stopped showing in the my computer page. But when I shutdown and re start, hibernet then re start or restart the system the dvd burner icon comes back on and when I right click and tap ejact the tray ppps out the I get an error message saying an error occured while ejecting dick then the dvd icon disappears.
