I own a dell venue 8 3830 32gb android tablet, and it is currently running on kitkat. I presume Dell is not going for any further updates for the venue 8 3830 tablets. Now this tablet has two big bugs. First is called the screen freeze, this bug basically disables you to work via touch screen.
The touch sceen or the digitizer becomes responsiveness as if it was never meant to work but locking the screen and unlocking again gets it away for a few hours or so. Next is the black screen bug, basically the screen turns up completely black while playing some online videos or even the saved ones. Now both the bugs never occur together. If one of the bugs occur the second one doesn’t. The black screen is also cured by the same method.
Now this is not just in my case because I have changed the display assembly twice and is also a common problem amonst all the users of the venue 8. Its a software problem, not a harware problem. But the rest of it is amazing. I have over a 100 user apps in my tablet that I have downloaded and it has never lagged. In the end it performs really well despite its bugs.
