Bought a Dell Vostro 1440 eight months ago , and got nothing but problems from the beginning.
Initially the Touchpad was not working then Contrast problem, when I plugged-in the charger laptop started making noise, keyboard button stopped working.
and now the the most terrible thing.
Dell Laptops speakers turned out to be defective, it is making very distorted noise which cannot be heard. I called dell, they installed another driver but the speakers were not fixed, and Guess what said, after that!!! They said that I must have used VLC media player in my laptop and that is the reason why that cannot replace the speakers, they said that I would need to pay for the speakers which will cost me 500 Rs and 1400 Rs for the engineers visit to my house. Their management has decided not to replace the speakers, if they go faulty assuming the fact that everyone must be using VLC.
As a matter of fact, . most of us have VLC installed in our systems. The representative said that they never sent an email about this to their customers and was not able to explain how I was supposed to know about it either, except saying that their management has taken this decision this week. So they are blaming customers for the faulty speakers.
One of my friend had bought Dells laptop and he also had a lot of problems with it. So I would never recommend anyone for buying dells laptop. I wish I could give 0 stars.
