I have been using using this laptop since about 1 and a half year. I got this laptop with i7 CPU, 8 GB RAM and 1TB hard drive. And it is extremely fast and good in performance. I heard complaints about slow booting, slow performance and system problems here. I think speed depends upon the OS itself and how they manage the data files beside its hardware. Personally, as a developer, I use Linux, it has never disappointed me in terms of speed. I don’t know why people still use Windows. Windows sucks itself. So if you keep sucky OS like Windows, in cool hardware, you know what will happen. Windows slow down when time goes by, and it doesn’t have good enough data handling algorithm to maintain your files. I haven’t had heating problem, even though I use it all the time on bed. I have faced lots of heating problem with HP laptops before, and HP fried its motherboard. But this laptop is cool.
The only minor problem I see is its little bulky, which most of us can compromise, if its really an awesome laptop.
