Indeed they are ready to take you to your destination in relative comfort. Unfortunately, the relative comfort is not too good--- but unfortunately, no U. S. airlines are comfortable for anyone above a size 10. The seat size aside, Delta is very reliable in trying to get you to your destination on time.
I have used Delta numerous times for my travels and find their flight crew accommodating, helpful and friendly. The last time I flew they had mechanical problems necessitating a stop-over for 2 hours. This can happen to any airline...but Delta sent me a travel voucher and a letter of apology for the delay. This letter and voucher came to me as a complete surprise.
The airline offers a senior discount and their air fares are moderately priced. In addition, you can book Delta flights on line and receive a further discount.
