I visited deoban chakrata in June 2017 with my wife and maternal uncle family. I reached Dehradun a day before further proceeding towards Deoban. We started early at 5PM towards Deoban. First we headed towards tiger falls which is sitauted near chakrata.We reached there at 11 am.it was just beautiful place to visit. Water was falling from mountain and we bathed under ’’Jharna’’. It was similar to kempty fall of mussorrie bt this olace was very less crowded as compared ti kempty fall. Then we headed towards Deoban.Journey towards deoban from chakrata is very touch.Only one vehicle can move at a time. It is better to hire a taxi rather than iwn vehicle as only trained driver can drive on that path. Moreover, SUV vehicle is recommended over hatchback.
It took more than hour to cover 13 KM because of path. After reaching, we witnessed a small but beautiful place. We enjoyed a alot over there. Temperature was near to 1 degree or 2degree in june month. It lacks basic necessities apart from beauty. There was no electricity and water facility. You cant charge your mobile phones. There is no network from any network provider. You have to carry food as there is no good option.One more thing that speacial permission is required to visit as it comes under forestery department.There was one more family which ran away after listening and watching lack of necessities.
Next day early morning we left from deoban and reached dehradun at 3pm.
This place is for those people who want calm atmosphere away from city disturbance else there is nothinf new in this place. Family trip with little kids should be avoided due to lack of facilities.
