We lost our beloved friend Pallabi Das at the age only 28 due to gross negligence on the part of Desun hospital.
She was admitted on 3rd of this month(September) with dengue fever.
From the day one she became a money making instrument.In the name of treatment no tests, diagnosis were left.She was gradually promoted to ICU, ICCU and ventilation to make money.
Today at 8.20 am she was declared dead although her actual death was 24 hours before.
Her death was announced 24 hours later to increase bill amount by 2 lac.Yes, after her actual death the hospital billed for 2 lac.The total bill for her was 13.5 lac, can you imagine!
Out of this, her husband(a school teacher) could arrange to meet 8 lac. He requested for consideration for the rest.The hospital was not ready to consider a single paise.
They refused to release the body without payment.
After waiting a long 8 hours, her family called police and T.V. & Print media.
Seeing media and police, they became ready to release .
