At this time when everyone is buying hand sanitizers to keep themselves safe from this deadly Corona Virus, I went out for getting a good sanitizer for my personal use too. As Dettol is a very popular brand, I spent a bit more money than other hand sanitizers on buying Dettol liquid handwash. I was disappointed after using it actually because of following reasons:
1- It’s cost is Rs 95 for 200ml of quality which is really high as compared to other handwash sanitizers.
2- It is not effective in cleaning and hence does not serve the purpose of killing pathogens and specially this Virus.
3- It’s fragrance is no different than other dettol products. All their products whether soaps or handwash, all have same fragrance and I personally don’t like the fragrance at all.
- It is not an alcohol based hand sanitizer and so is really ineffective.
5- It comes in a pouch packing, which is not at all good because the liquid needs to be filled into the nozzle bottle provided with the pouch which is really very inconvenient.
6- The nozzle bottle they provide has another problem with it. It’s nozzle when pressed to give out the liquid, many a times doesn’t work properly.
7- The company doesn’t provide any details on the pack about it’s contents, which I found very disappointing.
8- I got rashes on my hands when I used it, so it’s really harsh on the skin too.
I was expecting Dettol to be a good brand in these products but was really disappointed with this product and would recommend to be aware of these facts before using it.
