Devdas I have to say is one of the best films that I’ve seen, my eyes were glued to the screen the whole way through. The setting is great, the theme is beautiful, it has a lovely story line and the actors are just plain gorgeous.
I’ve heard that this fantastic film has been India’s most expensive film ever made. I can truly see why. The setting is absolutely stunning. The location of the scenes is magnificent. Every scene that you watch is filled with such exquisite, exotic and heavenly detail.
The outfits which Aishwariya and Madhuri wore were extremely stunning. They both looked very elegant.
The music topped this film off. All the tracks were amazing. I especially like Chhalak Chhalak and I have to say Dola re Dola has been a favourite of everyones. The beat of the songs just makes you want to jump out of your seat. I can never get the songs out of my head!! I think more albums like this should be made.
The actors played their parts out brilliantly. The climax’s were held well. I have to say Aishwariya Rai cut the cake in her role.
I thought that having the candle as an embracement of love in this film was a very clever and effective idea. It demonstrated the strong loving bond between Aishwariya and Sharukh.
Overall I think this film is a must to watch. It has a lovely romantic story line which is effectively established through the burning of a candle by Aishwariya for her love for Sharukh, through the roles successfully played by all the actors, through the music verified. I recommend this film to everyone. ENJOY!!
