I have always been and will forever be a big fan of cartoons. But recently the originality has been lost when Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon converted to Hindi language.
I used to love the accent of Dexter and Didi but now have to make do with a poor Hindi version... This goes to an endless list of Characters whose Identity is completely lost because of this conversion.
That goes for so many... the list goes on Bugs Bunny, Bravo, Scooby Doo etc etc. A friend once asked me what I had against the Hindi language and I know many are thinking the same of me, I have no issues with ’’Hindi’’ as a language, why should I, after all I am a proud Indian. I only have a problem with originality!
The creators of these serials go to extreme lengths to design the characters, give them the perfect voice and style.. A classic example is Spongebob Squarepants... give it a try watch the english version and then Hindi... the effect is completely lost.
Another example... if you watch Cartoon Network weekend?s full-length movies, they are all in Hindi. I ask why only in Hindi why not repeat in English late nights?
I know that I am among to rare few who wish to watch the Serials in the manner they were originally programmed and intended, but we should been given a choice...
If there are many out there who wish the same to return to the Original Cartoons... please comment... so we all know...
