I had high hopes from Dhadak 2, especially after the emotional depth and freshness of the first part. But sadly, this sequel turns out to be more style than substance.
Storyline: The film tries to explore inter-caste or inter-class love once again but lacks the innocence and realism that made the original work. The plot feels recycled and too dramatic, without proper emotional buildup. The love story feels rushed and lacks chemistry.
Performance:
The lead actor gives a decent effort but lacks the screen presence needed for such a sensitive role.
The lead actress shows promise in a few scenes but struggles to bring depth to her character.
Supporting characters are poorly written, and many scenes feel unnecessarily exaggerated.
Emotions, which should have been the soul of the film, feel artificial.
Direction & Music: The direction is glossy but emotionally weak. The film focuses more on visuals than strong storytelling. Music is average – no song really sticks in your mind like Zingaat or Pehli Baar from the original.
Cinematography is good, but that alone cant save a film.
Verdict: Dhadak 2 feels like a forced sequel, made only to cash in on the name. It lacks soul, connection, and real drama. Watch it only if youre curious – otherwise, its skippable.
