A new branch of Dhanlaxmi bank has opened in our vicinity of Janak Puri, New Delhi sometime back. I have noticed on several occasions that the branch has very less people and the space is relatively free as compared to other banks. I decided to open a savings account for my son in the bank as I thought it will be convenient.
Went to the branch and completed all the formalities including paper work, submission of identity & residence proof etc. I was told that the account will become active in 4-5 days and I will receive an intimation letter.
It has been more that 2 weeks and I am still to receive any intimation from the bank. Even after numerous visits to the branch I get the same answer that it is under process and will be done in a day or two. The amount of Rs.2000/- that I deposited is also stuck.
