It was in last May for my wedding anniversary, I first visited the’Dhe Puttu’ Restaurant. I had heard a lot about this restaurant owned by the popular Actor of Mollywood Shri.Dileep.The attraction of the restaurant is that different varieties of puttu(Steam cooked main dish- mainly rice, wheat, corn, Semolina -often a breakfast menu) with all different combinations of tasty side dishes .the air conditioned restaurant has a traditional & antique ambience with spices displayed in glass jars and interiors resembling tree huts.
A welcome drink of brewed cinnamon is served free of cost with the menu card by humble & pleasant waiters. The menu card literally astonished me with each "Puttu"item possessing names of hit movies of the actor. It was really impressive.
We ordered biriyani puttu and Kerala chicken roast . Believe me it really tasted awesome and the puttu had pieces of chicken and a half of boiled egg. The curry was tasty and I still remember the flavors .The prices are bit costly but affordable more over they claim to use natural spices & organic stuff denying any artificial ingredients .Thanks to’Dhe Puttu’- You made our day
