I saw Dhoom:2 yesterday (late night show ..) and my whole night was ........well ahem ahem!!!
No nothing happened ...the movie is appalling
The movie should be called DOOM:2 .
I realised that the 2 signifies not the series but the 2 chest lobes that Hrithik has been flaunting throughout the movie :) (Ash made a desparate futile attempt to beat Hrithik here...but she is old)
The camera work is very gibberish....in a basket ball sequence...where hrithik n ash are playing with the BASKETBALL in the rain, for a second or 2 u wonder which ones does the director wants to be in the frame
Everyone makes flying entry.....where is hrithik...he comes flying (paragliding) to rob a running train....
Where is uday...he comes flying on his bike....emerging from trees and landing on the boat which in middle of a small lake/rivulet. Immediately ...where is abhishek.......and Mr. Bacchan’s jet-ski emerges from underwater and flies into the air over the top of the boat.....now plz tell them that it was just a jet-ski.....neither a submarine nor a airplane!!!!
And the drug dealer (on the boat) has his men around his main boat, on small boats...which is fine...but why the hell are there oil tanks on these boats?????? No logic...no coherence......nows thats Dhoom 2...eerrrrr....DOOM2
Where is ash? she comes flying ....from the foot of a fort (in Junagadh) to its roof top then immediately jumps to the bottom through a vertical tunnel in the fort building and what a open vertical tunnel .....it is located right next to the object that she plans to steal (and yes the police are guarding to prevent this challenged theft....then y didn’t they seal the vertical tunnel????)
And when ash meets hrithik, to introduce herself, she removes her coat and stuff and there u see the desi Lara Croft before Hrithik albeit this desi lara croft looks old and tired. Had it been a spoof movie the best dialogue here would have been Hrithik saying to Ash : "Aunty tum? 40 saal ki booddhi ya 40 saal ki jawan!!! "
When she tries to convince him to be her partner....she hams so much that she seems like
soliciting for favors or rather to do favors ;)
In that scene, I could not resist the urge to quote aloud "60 dollars???"!!!!
Abhi and Bips are schoolmates.....they r now in police together (ACP Bips meets the commissioner in Rupa ki Banian...beat that)....abhi n bips decide to go to the 1996 batch reunion (now both of them do not look so young to have passed school as recently as 1996...must be graduation batch ka reunion). But in the reunion u will figure out that everyone from the 1996 batch had taken up careers in striptease..watch out for their costumes n dance moves (I have been to one such place (only once, though) hence I can say this). And suddenly Uday aka Ali comes to that party as well. Wait a minute...isn’t Ali suppose to be illiterate who never passed out of any school college? then what the hell is he doing there? who allowed him in? Abhishek never got him there!!!!!!
in the climax plot .....the thieves have managed to fool the cops, have stolen the precious coins and have fled. Suddenly the next scene is ...the thieves are on the bike and the police chopper is chasing them. How, when, where did the police locate them is probably a mystery which even the makers of the film have not solved. Then midway there is one more bike waiting for Ash in the field. Why in the field?? I am sure even God doesn’t know!!!
Now the fun gets more crazy!!!
The chase countinues and they enter a loooooooooooooooooooooooooong tunnel in a mountain.
lets say they enter at point A of the tunnel. So the chopper lands at point A and out come Abhi and Uday from inside the chopper on 2 bikes (note there is no one else in the chopper....no armed cops as well.....god knows why were they chasing in chopper then)......mind blowing na? hold on.....there is more.....
The stupidly shot chase is on in teh tunnel with illogical stunts and when they are about to exit the tunnel...say at point B......guess what.....the chopper that had landed at point A in there as it was at point A...with the door left ajar for the bikes to move out and NOT A SINGLE COP IN IT. how did it get to point B? Or was the tunnel a complete circle? Imporatntly y was the vacant chopper there then? Answer: only to show that Hrithiks bike will jump from above the rotating fan blades and ash drops a bomb in it. And to follow Abhi and Uday will emerge from the fire, on their bikes. Gasp!!!
After that....
Hrithik jumps off a cliff and then pulls out his parachute......then abhishek also jumps after him....but without parachute.!!! LOL.
BUT.....a big but......putting newton’s laws to shame....abhi dodges the canopy of hrithik’s chute and falls perfectly on to hrithik’s shoulders.....how he managed to sway along the curve of the eqn: e^x is unanswered.
Moral: Watch Dulhe Raja 10 times and u will still be better off than watching Doom-Doom (thats doom "2")
