THE COMPLETE 21ST CENTURY TECHNOLOGY NAVIGATOR

I purchased a new personal computer in december 2001 and the old issues of the digit magazine really helped me in making the very crucial decision on the right pc configuration. Their articles are very lucid and easily understandable and are meant for any lay person with a basic idea and passion about technology. Their product reviews and articles especially the agent 001 columns are fantastic. Their anniversary issue in June 2002 was amazing and carried a complete cell phone test which was very useful to many of my friends who bought the cell phones recommended in their tests and are very happy with the same. I cannot find any negative points with the magazine except the high price of Rs 100.00.they should at least offer the option of buying the magazine at a lower cost without the 2 free cd’s. Person’s like myself buy digit only for the magazine and keep it for years as a reference guide and have no use for the cd’s which I invariably gift it to somebody. So digit should find ways to tackle my only grouse bring the magazine in a non cd version at a lower price.

However My Experience after Subscribing to the Magazine in March 2005 was a nightmare as the subscription department is in a pure mess. The Issues always reach the subscriber after the 10nth of Each Month when they always arrive on the 1st in the news stand. It is like taking subscribers for granted.

However the Quality of Articles and Especially Readers queries and special articles of Agent 001 are worth reading. The tips and Tricks section can make one a complete computer wizard from a novice.

So those who purchase a new computer and are at sea start purchasing digit instead of attending any computer course. It would be money well spent. If any body needs old issues from June 2001 to June 2005, I would be more than happy to mail them a CD of the Past Issues in PDF Format for Rs 150.00. Just send me a mail in the M2M Box and give your complete address.
