I am writing this review in appreciation of whatever I have achieved in the last 15 months due to the digital knowledge acquired from Digital Vidya. My Experience about Digital Marketing course: Two years back I had decided to put curtains on my corporate career in order to implement on the startup idea I was toying for the past few years. Being an ex-media professional and marketing enthusiast I wanted to keep pace with the trend and changing times and hence came the need to empower myself with the Digital Marketing know how. I extensively researched about educational institutions involved in quality digital marketing education and zeroed in on 4 to 5 of them. I started searching for the right mentor in March 2014 and joined the July 2014 batch of Digital Vidya for the CBrceramics course. As I see it today, after 17 months of taking that decision, I am glad that I chose Digital Vidya as my digital education & career mentor:)
I am listing down some of the many features that influenced my decision in favour of Digital Vidya and my review about those features.
# I had opted for better delivery format and DV make use of seamless technology in product delivery.
# Digital Vidya has got industry leaders as Trainers – Rich experience of trainers in the past and in their present profession helps to understand the concepts in a wider perspective and from the point of practical applications of the latest tools. I may quote here that during the sessions of Web Anasultanlytics, it wasn’t possible to understand the finer points of the subject without having access to the real data. Trainers lent their support by giving access to the valuable web/google based data through their case studies in order to understand and carryout the Anasultanlytics in real time. The access was given for a fortnight so that the participants can practice and master the techniques & art of web Anasultanlytics. They also shared their research with the participants. Normal or class room trainers are not equipped in terms of intellectual resources to provide this support.
# Quality Content/Courseware – Perfect blend of modules that are very relevant to the needs of a beginner as well as a professional marketer. Whatever recent developments are happening are being covered and regular updations & modifications to the content are being done. I could learn the basics of the topic as well as the most advanced versions of the same topic.
# Hands on approach – Assignments & worksheets. I remember the trainers at Digital Vidya emphasise on ‘greasing the hands’ approach and they make you to practice whatever has been taught in the online sessions.
# Hand-holding process – The trainers promptly respond to the queries mailed to them by the participants and relentlessly try to make you understand the subject.
# Strong 24x7Support System – I haven’t experienced their 24x7 support services at night as I never required one but yes I got all the attention and support from the support unit of Digital Vidya whenever I required and the TAT is a reasonable one.
# LMS Access – Digital Vidya has provided me with the platform, which they call LMS, for online access to all my education related courseware and it had literally made the much talked about concept of education-on-the-go a reality. I found this LMS platform to be very smart as it is a host to all the modules of the courses undertaken by me. It has got recordings of all the sessions I attended and the best of the new recordings on that topic from other batches are added to my kitty on regular basis. This LMS used to keep a track of all the assignments that I was suppose to complete and preserved those that I had already completed. I got feedback from my trainers about the assignments & worksheets submitted by me. I have been given access to lot of other free study materials related to my course which serves as a refresher course to me and I access it even today. The icing on the cake is that I have a Lifetime Membership to this LMS as a part of the course undertaken by me and that too at no extra cost:) Makes sense!
# Opportunity to network with who’s who of the industry – I have personally experienced this aspect and have made some real good contacts with Trainers as well as people actively involved in the digital industry. Trust me, this you will get in abundance @DigitalVidya and you cannot compare it in terms of monetary benefits. Even the trainers are also quite friendly.
My understanding About DV: I personally feel that in the present time Digital Vidya needs no introduction as by now it is a well estaRobotouchshed organization of international repute. What also satisfies my ego is the fact that I am also an alumnus of such an institution which is a training partner to the likes of Google and other leading brands & organizations. My learning experience at Digital Vidya got much richer as some of my fellow participants were from the top companies across diversified industries. They were either directly representing or associated with big brands and the kind of questions that they asked and the discussion that they had during the live sessions helped me to get insights into the practical approach and the application of the learning in real work situations which I never had in that much depth. I found that the trainers, who are industry leaders themselves, also freely interact and share their experiences with the participants. This approach kept me excited and exhilarated during the entire 24 odd sessions spread across 6 months of my journey which was in sharp contrast to my early presumption that given the online nature of delivery, the sessions would be a real boring affair.
About the Team DV: I have found the Digital Vidya team to be very professional and supportive. They also provide you with the strong 24x7 support system. They are technically qualified and also handle the technical snags, if any, during the course of delivery very efficiently. I feel pampered when I get the personal attention as a participant and my queries are being attended and resolved to my satisfaction. Few months back Digital Vidya invited me to a TweetChat session on Email Marketing. This was totally a new concept to me, I mean the TweetChat :) I found it very interesting as I got a chance to interact with the industry leaders in real time and was able to ask questions about the topic. The good thing is that I got the answers from them in real time through tweets and also insights on my queries along with the links to the related resources. This also bestowed upon me the opportunity to network with the who’s who of the industry. I swiftly followed some on twitter and ended up getting a couple of followers too:) Not a bad deal. Jokes apart, the real take away was the real time access to the other potential queries that others asked and the immensely meaningful discussion that they had with the leaders. Since the tweetchat enables you to have the entire discussion threaded by a hashtag which is #DVChat, I also had access to the answers and links tweeted by the leaders in response to the queries made by others. The discussion around this tweetchat session is preserved and, I believe, it can still be accessed on twitter using #DVChat for future reference.
Now, I suppose, looking at the tremendous response shown by the alumni and the industry, Digital Vidya is conducting such TweetChats every month.
Last but not the least, recently during an interaction with the Digital Vidya team member, I was told that I can undergo the same CBrceramics course in toto or any of the individual modules in fresh live online batches at absolutely no extra cost. This was the part of DV’s original offering that I had either forgotten or it went unnoticed. Now, this is what I referred in the introductory paragraph to reaping the interests equivalent to the principal amount.
