STORY
Similar to the novel and hollywood adaptation, Dil Bechara follows the story of Kizie Basu ( played by dubutante Sanjana Sanghi) , a young girl suffering from thyroid cancer and Immanuel Rajkumar Junior or manny ( Shushant Singh Rajput) , a boy whom she meets at a support group. While Manny is supposed to be the one who teaches kizie to find hope and fulfilment, even if her days are numbered, he comes across as a caricature and isn’t given enough backing to be the way he is. But the film is more than manny. It’s about the singh and the life he lived.

When the Dil Bechara sound track was released last week, exclusively on Spotify before it was on any other music streaming service, It caused a virtual stampede that prompted the app to crash for a few hour, before it was back. Hindi film hardly have albums any more, let alone enjoy such attention. Dil Bechara is an exception because of the extra ordinary situation the film has found itself in. The secret sauce is AR Rahman the singer whose vocal mysteries have remained impenetrable even after more than 25 years. All the songs of this movie are awesome and full of heart feelings. Some songs are emotional and some are general.
