What a stupid movie with a storyline that defeats logic & a most predictable outcome, made to appear impossible. Yrf banner assumes that indian cinegoers can be taken on a ride with any plot, illogical "kartabs", overacting, slapstick comdey and a village costume for Rani/Rakhi & Sherlin that only these people can dream. Even songs do not touch any chord.
The only relief was some reasonable acting by Anupam kher which mellowed down the melodrama despite director’s dislike I am sure. The storyline is based on a cricket match between india & pakistan (who else) village team.
Rani is better than Ravi Shastri, as she can score 6 sixes in 6 balls against a top Ranji player! Do I need to proceed further. If yes, then she assumes a makeup of a "boy" to get selected in the boy’s team. She speaks village english in the most accompalished accent (at times). She wears "mini" western dress to go for a date. Our london returned Shahid kapur, who is also the captain of team, falls in love with her & together they score some 160 runs in 10 overs (Dhoni are you listening: come back to India man) for the last wicket !!!
