Hey all u funky guys n gals out there, have u been to the theatre for DIL CHAHTA HAI, if yes then u must have enjoyed it , If no then u have missed the fun of the true friendship bond between three collegians who r unique in themselves....And my my what a great movie it is....U wont believe I saw this movie for about 27 times and I can narrate the whole movie for those who havnt seen it here is the bucks saving opportunity for all you people...
Dil chahta hai.This is one of the classiest movie I have ever seen.I have never been impressed by a movie which has so much in itself that so much as I have been with Dil Chahta Hai, A class in itself. The film is brilliant in all areas, be it about direction, screenplay, music, acting, dialouges, story, lyrics and cinematography. I want to take this opportunity to express how much I enjoyed the movie through my review. (I DONT MEAN TO BORE YOU GUYS)
STORY:The story revolves around the three friends Aakash(Aamir khan), Sameer(Saif ali khan) and Siddharth-SID(Akshaye khanna).Each one of them thinks differently and has a different concept about what love is. Aakash is quite a insensitive guy and is a big flirt who does not believe in love.For him love is flirting with girls, Sameer is a confused but happy-go lucky type of a guy who falls in love with every other girl he meets whereas Sid is a more quiet, mature and sensible guy who believes in love and expresses his love and thoughts through his paintings. WOW WHAT A PAINTER HE IS.His paintings reveal love, passion, comfort and the feeling of true love, but his paintings were a reality bite, they spoke for his feelings.
Sid falls in love with Tara jaiswal (Dimple Kapadia) who is a divorcee and a mother. One night when Sid tells his friends about his love for Tara, Aakash reacts negatively and mistooks his love for tara as an INFACTUATION.Sid slaps Aakash for making fun of his feelings. The friendship between Sid and Aakash ends there and Aakash heads for Sydney(WOW WHAT A CAMERA EFFECT. Aakash goes to Sydney to look after his dad’s buisness and there he meets Shalini (Preity zinta) whome he had met in the Pub and had a beating from her fiancee, and eventually falls in love with her.
Sameer also finds his dream girl in Pooja (Sonali kulkarni).Noe the most important part is about the opera show which shalini takes Aakash to, (here the scene is so beautiful that I actually cried).
When Aakash realises the magic of true love he understands Sid’s feelings and apologises to him and all get together again in a hospital where tara is admitted and dies leaving sid alone with a broken heart. And then in the end they all get together and sid also finds a girl for himself..WOW whata romantic happy ending
Farhan Akhtar has given an impresive debute in his first film, HATS OFF TO HIM..KEEP IT UP BUDDy.I am amazed by Farhan’s talent, he is young and what a brilliance in his very first attempt.Technically the film is Excellent. I would definately like to mention the dialogues written by Farhan with such a superb class and intelligent humour in a hindi film.
As far as acting goes, everyone has acted wonderfully well .All the characters are very well defined and completely realistic.The film has lots of funfilled moments but not once do the actors overact which is commendable. Akshaye has given a brilliant performance, Saif is very adorable and Aamiralso has played his part superbly. He is too good to be true.
Preity Zinta is looking gorgeous(MAN I FELL IN LOVE WITH HER....DAY DREAMING) with her new hair-do and has acted quite well. Sonali is impressive in her small but impressive role and there is a fine display of acting by Dimple Kapadia too, SHE DOESNT LOOKS TOO OLD. Subodh’s also acted too well.
The music by Shankar, Loy and Ehsaan is brilliant with a lot of life flowing into it.It is very funky and has got lots of freshness and energy.All the songs are wonderfully written(Javed akhtar)and composed.All the songs like Jaane kyon log pray karte hai (MY MOST FAVOURITE SONG), Dil Chahta Hai and Koi kahe kehte rahe(this song made me get up on my toes and well I had to control myself).And Not to forget the song TANHAIEE, it was too good that I literallt had tears in my eyes..i love this somg very much b’coz it had a whole lot of meaning when it comes to comparing aamir who is a flirt in this film
The songs are beautifully and innovatively picturised and mixes very well with the situation and are sequenced very aptly and perfectly.
With all regards to the film DIL CHAHTA HAI.all that I can say is Mera DIL CHAHTA HAI KI MAI YE FIL WAPAS DEKHU for 28th TIME.
