Dil Dhadakne Do
A Punjabi family embarks on a cruise of exotic places. It is none other Anil Kapoor and his corpulent and repugnant wife Shefali Shetty. They are accompanied by their middle -aged, frustrated daughter Priyanka Chopra. With her artificial pout and fake accent Priyanka drowns this middling film to devastating boredom. Her father, Anil Kapoor, has a motive in his devious Punjabi mind. He wants to get his monkey-faced son Ranvir married to a Mr. Punjabi Richie Rich’s daughter. But Ranvir has other plans, ostensibly he wants to be a pilot! Does it make any sense? So we have Ranvir doing his usual mad-cap hamming, shouting, baring his teeth, wearing ludicrous expression on his ape-visage all but acting. He fails miserably. It seems he hasn’t learnt from his past super-duper flops. Instead of the girl picked by his father, he sets his roving eyes upon Anushka, who plays a Muslim girl. Horrors! LOL.
Priyanka has a husband. LOL. It is Rahul Bose. HAHAHAHAHAHA. No wonder, Madam is frustrated. Rahul Bose, as everyone, knows swings the other way. He looks cheesy in this film and his ugliness can only be matched by Farhan’s gargoyle looks. A tight slap to two of the most ugly midget actors in the world.
As per sources, allegedly of course, haggard looking and insanely jealous Priyanka managed to slice off many a minute from Anushka’s role. Priyanka looks dark and hideous in front of much younger Anushka. In fact, I felt Priyanka looked like Anushka’s Ayaa / Kaamwaali / nanny of Anushka. Priyanka also sang a flop song, her voice sounded to me as a dying dog wheezing away to death.
Zoya Akhtar is a cheap, stupid uneducated lady. Her cheapness shows in the movie. Fake reviews can fetch you a good weekend, but it is a boringly mind-numbing movie. Priyanka is a DISASTER. Ranvir, a lout, uncouth smelly tramp.
VERDICT: A TITANIC DISASTER.
