Dil Ka Rishta - good at places

Dil Ka Rishtha has some interesting moments but fails to make a strong impact on the viewer.

The Cast

Dil Ka Rishta has two surprise packets when it comes to Performance

Piyanshu has rendered a wonderful performance in his small role with exact emotions and expressions.

Isha Kopikkar had shown that she can handle character roles than just doing Item Numbers

Rakhee and Paresh Rawal is same as usual, both had done similar roles in the past, nothing special to mention.

Arjun Rampal the lead man is pale at places, has done better in his earlier films.

Aishwarya with an author-backed role has given sincere performance.

The Crew

In the Technical side Ashok Mehtas Cinematography is out standing along with Viju Shah’s Background Score is first rate.

The film fails in the most important part ie; Story and Screenplay which is OK in the first half with lighter moments and lots of melodrama in the second half.

The Editing done by the director himself is very loose in post interval portions with some unwanted songs make the movie un necessarly lengthy.

The Post interval portions which can be told in half an hour is stretched for more than an hour.

Nadeem-Shravan’s music is ok with 2 songs hummable rest is not worth mention.

The Director

Naresh has not done homework as he had done for his earlier flick “Yeh Dillagi” but has handled couple of scenes well, especially in the first half. The Director has failed to create an impressive second half as the screenplay hasn’t given enough scope for him to do so.

Overall

Dil ka Rishta falls in family drama category has an impressive and fast moving first half, a stretched second half with some commenable performance by supporting cast, first rate Cinematography and Background Score. You can watch it if you are a die-hard fan of Ash.
