Honestly, the film is not as bad as some people review it to be. It will only be bad if your expectations are akin to DDLJ. This is a new genre and should remain so. However the movie was still messed up in places. I think they should have first shown the complete history of SRK-Kajol and then progressed onto the present . That way it would be more cleaner and nicer to watch. It would also emphasize more on the chemistry. People are only not feeling the same love because the romance is getting mixed in all the cars and comedy
The gunfights and violence would also be okay but they were randomized. They should have the shown the true power of the Mafia families and the struggle faced by kajol and srk in trying to get together in the midst of all the violence
Some comedy scenes were purely funny and purely enjoyable without low IQ comedy or cheap comedy but some were unnecessary and only wearied themselves out in front of your eyes
However the highlight of the movie is SRK and Kajol and the way they were portrayed in the flashback. That met the expectations you did have. The comedy is also good along with Varun Dhawan’s acting. Once again- the highlight is in the rich and experienced acting and romance between Kajol and SRK which cannot be expressed into words. Go for that
All in all- this was a good movie, definitely not a flop or a unbearable one. It will fair good in box office
