In this era of TV and Internet, where you can see the news stories as they evolve, print news media are still popular because of their thought-provoking news analysis and editorial. High quality newspapers are rare in Tamil and usually news content is hidden between mind-distracting advertisements.
Dinamani is my favourite newspaper, as the content of news stories is more compared to ads (compare against Dina Thanthi, which boasts the highest circulation or Dina Malar, another popular newspaper). The layout is pretty good with nice fonts compared to any other newspaper.
Dinamani is also one of the very few Tamil newspapers to offer a good editorial and opinion about current events.
Given such good qualities, it is really suprising why it is not a bestselling newspaper. Here in Bangalore, it is difficult to get this newspaper even in the areas with a significant Tamil population, whereas you find other Tamil dailies everywhere.
