By far the best DTH service in India

Dear Mouthshut readers, I’ve been using Dish TV for close to 1yr. I didnt find any problem as on date except one time that too for renewal. Last August 2006 I purchased the Dish TV from a local vendor, he charged me Rs 3990/- wiht and 3 months subcription free, plus 800 for installation and Rs 10/- for every meter of cable wire . Totally it cost me around Rs 4880/-.Dont worry guys due to stiff competition from TATA and the threat of Reliance getting into DTH DishTV has slashed the prices  to a new low. For Rs 3990/- You will get months 6 free subscription that too "dish maxi" which is 3006=1800 of savings. Hey I am not doing any free marketing for Dish TV. just be aware that you dont pay extra buck. Because most of the pricing has got marks which most of us fail to see and fall in prey with our service provider. If you had plans to buy Dish connection just visit the website and check the current pricing and also cross check with the dealer price.

After buying the Dish TV connection, I requested the dealer to install immediately cos some important cricket match was going on that time. Service man came at 8PM that night and installed the Dish TV, but I couldnt see any channels, cos it takes minimum 2days to activate my account. So I had no other go than waiting for next two days, within 48hrs the connection was restored. I was stunned about the clarity, I am parallelly using local cable, I could see a vast difference. No grains, No power interruptions, No signal failures. Local cable guy is charging 150/- for 54 channels whereas I am getting more than 100 channels with better clarity for Rs 300/-. Still Dish edges out local cable walla by providing Star boquet, HBO, Zee Networks, Sports Channels, what not. only problem is you cannot view all the regional language channels, if dish is providing that then the No of channels would increase drastically. Dish TV keeps introducing new channels in the present package without any additional charges. Being a Chennaite I cant miss Sun Network, for that only reason I am still persuading with local cable guy, otherwise I might restrict myself by viewing Dish TV only.

Dish prevailed over local cable operators, now let me compare Dish TV with Tata Sky, who is a stiff competitor in DTH segment. In my office we have taken TATA Sky before the 2007 World Cup. I was not quite happy about the clarity when I saw Tata Sky for the first time. Everyone knows about the Sony TV colour production and the brand is well known for clarity after viewing Taat Sky aired channels, it doesnt create any big impression, I feel like I am watching it in decade old TV. There is nothing wrong with the TV, when we watched movies through DVD the clarity was amazing and spell bound, but when we view Tata Sky the clarity sucks. Some of my colleagues who saw Tata Sky for the first time said yeh! what a clarity.I was standing nearby n murmering myself what they will say when they watch Dish TV?  Dish TV again tops the ranks in terms of providing no of channels with the same price when compared to Tata Sky.

If you have the extra buck to see quality channels with crystal clear clarity. I would suggest you to throw your local cable walla and go for DTH Service. Before choosing Dish TV or Tata Sky go to the nearest dealer and do a comparative test on same channels and decide yourself which one to go for. But I strongly recommend Dish TV for the money you spend
