I had to shell huge monthly sums to the local cable wallah only to watch distorted channels with poor picture and audio. Moreover, the cablewallah never answered the phone or the cellphone to register complaints for days together. Sometimes I missed important programmes. Also, the cableman did not replace the defective cable. Also, I could only watch 70 odd channels.
A friend recommended I try DTH but the high cost of set top box made me postpone my decision.Last week, a dealer told me that Zee had reduced prices substantially so I immediately opted for the Rs.4, 990/- Dish Har Chat Par plan.I am happy that Zee’s DTH is good and a refreshing change from the usual cable connection. The picture quality and sound are excellent. On the cable, most of the time the channels are not clear as the picture quality is distorted.
However, I miss the Star and Sony bouquet. I can’t watch the Saas Bhi kabhi Bahu Thi, Jassi and so on. But I am getting used to it.
The customer service of Zee DTH is excellent and my problems were resolved within a very short period of time.
Zee should also add other popular channels on the DTH such as AXN, Toon Disney World, SAB TV, NDTV Profit, MTV, National Geographic, Miracle Net, History channel, Hallmark, Citi Entertainment, Discovery, Bollywood 4 U Movies
