We picked up a Dish-TV for the office and after a few months we realised that the subscription rate was very heavy. So we opted to scale down to the "free-to-air" programmes only, and discovered that despite their taking an advance for 5 years and so-called "returnable" antenna, we did not get anything "free".
Sure, technically satellite DTH is superior to cable, but at what cost? And more than that, the attitude issue - you HAVE to subscribe otherwise we will cut off your free to air also - is not workable.
We put this down to learning curve, and will take them up in the future when we have time. interim, I understand that TRAI is placing some instructions and guidelines on this subject.
I would suggest that people read the offer document AND the terms and conditions very carefully before paying for a new connection. I am waiting for them to come out with a new scheme to teach them what a consumer is, too.
