I’m a resident of vadodara, gujarat and an extremely unfortunate person to have been stupid enough to experimented with Dishnet. Carried away by advertisements, I decided to purchase a 50 hour pack from Dishnet. What looked like a great offer turned out to be my worst surfing experience since Netkracker. on the pack was a big sign promising speeds upto 64kbps. I have a new system at my place working on XP. All those who use XP must be familiar with the fact that Xp clocks the connection speed as soon as a connection is established. All that my connection has managed to clock is 33.6 kbps, not a byte more, since I brought the pack. Now i’m cursing myself hoarse over the download speeds. A 2MB package takes me more than half an hour to download even after using DAP. After a couple of days of using the pack, I decided to pay a visit to the guy who sold it to me. He tells me it’s quite ordinary and tried to convince me that all servive providers provide the same speed. And this was the same guy had told me while I brought this pack that most Cyber cafes use the same Dishnet package. 1 week and a couple of extremely long downloads later, I finally discarded the connection and got a BSNL pack which gives me speeds upto 56 kbps and troublefree downloads. Time we pulled those Dishnet hoardings down?
