We have been subscribers of Dishnet’s Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) service for a few months now. The quality of the connection is so poor and so unstable, that it’s a wonder they can even dare to offer the service.
The link goes down for days on end and their customer care representatives are totally uninformed. Then they offer you a backup solution on dial-up, so you end up spending more on telephone charges, than you would on DSL. Their customer care manager seems to be more elusive than Osama, because whenever we call, she is never in. This I can state confidently after making at least a dozen calls over the last one month. We have complained right from their call center to their CEO, and all we got in response was “Sorry for the inconvenience. Please bear with us.”
We have been tracking the status of the connection over the last 12 days, and the results are absolutely shocking! In the last 12 days, the connection has been down for 2 days and 2 hours, which means we get access only for 6 days in a week practically. There have been 605 disconnects during this period, ranging from 3 seconds to 12 hours (the current one, still not resolved). Every few minutes we get disconnected from the Internet, and the stability is absolutely zero.
It is extremely ironic that DSL’s QoS statement says that The Dishnet DSL network will be available 100% of the time, because obviously the company is not capable of living up to that statement.
We will be initiating further proceedings against them, and I would just like to advise anyone wanting a broadband DSL connection, don’t bother… all they can provide is a backup solution on dial-up, so you might as well go directly to VSNL!
