I really do not condone beauty contests for the simple fact that they are truly’meat markets’ of the media .
What is the true meaning of parading around in bathing suits and singing and dancing?
Does it make that person better? Yes it is a competitive field but it can also turn into something else.
I feel that it does not do much for those girls who cannot competer or do and then lose . Some, not all, some feel like they will never measure up .
I feel that is is an ego trip for those that participate. And then again, there are some great prizes for competing( ie: scholarships, etc)
However, this is an individual opinion, in that I would NEVER put my daughter into a contest such as this but some others may believe differently.
