Theme:- what can I say about the theme it’s same old DON with some garnishing
Story:-
story was same as old DON with some positive changes done by farhan akhtar
to make the movie more intriguing & logical..
PLOT:-
Really farhan akhtar has taken the bold decission to make the remake
of DON..Actually it’s very difficult to actually claim it’s a copy but also agreeing on the fact that it’s with a difference, Major twist in the story is ..In the old one.. vijay who was a simpleman due to same look as don was disguised as don by the police to catch the mafias involved with him..
...But in the New DON it’s the other way ..the DON actually disguised himself as a vijay & fools everybody...including police ...& set himself free of all the shackles..at the end...
change pretty seems to be logical if we consider DON character ...
"Gyarah mulko ki police don ko dhoond rahi hain par don ko pakadna mushkil hi
nahin namumkin hain"....
this boastful dialogue has to go with the character....It should show how shrewd & cunning don is that no one can ever dream of catching him...I think this is the most important point missing in the earlier DON there it shows the heroism & skills of the vijay who is just a normal common guy..but not of DON whojust died with in 1 hr of the movie to whom only overall movie based..
But no credit lose to that don also , it was actually made at that time when who wins at the end has to be a good character in the movie...
but now time has changed ..movies are aptly made to the point as well as close to the real life... & people also readily accepting that...
Acting:-
what is DON character..he should be very smart, adamant , too shrewd
very boastful , arrogancy should reflects on his face as we know by the character played by amitabh bachhan.. he don’t have to tell explicitly to the public that I am a DON...because actually he is..
But here shahrukh was expected to do something extra to convince the viewer’s
that he is a don..any ways he should not be compared with ABB..
But he has done his part well & again prooved that he is immensely talented & capable enough
to carry the film on his shoulders...
other characters in the movie are little bit out of focus because of such a
powerful & hyped character like don..
Arjun rampal who is portraying pran’s(old don) character does not found to be appealing
& strong as it should be...
priyanka chopra & kareena are good as always....
Music:-
Songs are remixed to be faster & song sequences are also equally paced
which looks good on the screen..
Overall:-
Movie is good & worth to watch atleast once especially to see new generation DON technologically advanced loaded & equipped with all the gadgets , gizmos possible .well dressed...travels in fantastic cars & that too in foreign location.
If all this things does not sound alluring then go for it ..for the sake of finding ..how a movie can be made differently as well as same....sounds contradictory.....is’nt it...
