I have completed 2 years working at Donorbox and sharing a review at this time makes me happy. I am sharing this review from India perspective. The company is 100%remote so one can work from anywhere in the world. The best things I experienced so far here are as follows:
- My reporting manager is super cool and did never micro managed
- I was always appreciated for the work i do and have received feedbacks as and when required
- I received exceptionally great increments that was suggested by my reporting manager to higher management
- Flexible work hours so being a woman i could manage my home as well as office work
- Given me access to Linkedin Paid tool to my personal account for work purpose for absolutely free of cost
- Got me all paid marketing tools as were required without any hesitation or doubting.
- Always encouraged to work efficiently and effectively without pin pointing or any negativity.
- Team members were so helpful and appreciative that I had no issues with anyone
- Only focused on work and not on any office politics as this is a US based company
- Promised me to give better appraisals if i stay at this company for long and i am hopeful it will happen
- Company has provided macbook for all employees and other devices required like linux etc. And best part is it could be ours forever if we stay for 3 years here.
- Cool goodies for all new employees that included laptop bag, donorbox printed cap, tshirt, a good quality stainless steel bottle, diary, pen, donorbox stickers, and coffee mug.
-Salaries are always on time that is the last of each month and best part its in dollars so whenever rate increases you get some extra money.
- Only 21 days notice period so one can join immediately to a new company
The things that I did not liked so far-
- No virtual team meet ups discussing off topics other than work or chill out sessions to know each other well
- No physical team meet ups yet for me
- Loneliness at work that I faced so far that can leave one unnoticed
- Delayed appraisals sometimes
- Late night office team calls can be tiring sometimes for Indian people
