I stumbled on Doordarshan...
Not that its the first time I’ve watched it... I used to watch it in the 80s. What made me jot these words down is that I noticed something - Doordarshan is like most other state run ventures - its stuck in the 80s.
The only thing thats changed is probably the color of the logo.
Back in the 80s even Krishi Darshan was cool. Why?? heh there was nothing else to watch. And yes, there was Nukkad, Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi and other cool programs too.
I’m not anti-doordarshan. Its provided some memorable entertainment. I’m talking about production value... EYE CANDY!!!!!
Take a look at one of the cable channels and then take a look at one of the DD channels... bling bling blingggg
I dont expect this review to be useful to anyone. I know for sure that most of you wont even agree with half of this (or all of it). But the point is, the government has a powerful medium to reach out to people. Why not package it nice and provide some QUALITY!
