Ohh, finally a movie which was a relief, breath of fresh air. After a long time, I saw a movie which is good enough to watch.
When I heard about the movie, I knew it is going to be inspired from " I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry" and I think I was right. It is as such as well as, it has some shades of Devil Wears Prada too, still it is one enjoyable flick.
Plot- The plot is of two guys who lie to a girl that they are gays, only to get rooms in her flat for rent. Later on, they start falling in love with the girl but she, believing them to be gays, falls for another guy who is her boss. After many twists and turns, full-on laughter and sequences, the movie ends with a "Could not be better" climax.
Actors-
Abhishek Bachchan( Sameer) *- He is cute, adorable and funny, all at the same time. He has tried his best to fit into a gay role and I think he has surpassed it. Compared to his other comic acts, this one stands at par with the best. Good one.
John Abraham( Kunal)- He could not have done it better, alone, that means, this gay couple actually rocked the movie as a team, together . He has definitely done a good and noticeable role after a long time. I loved the dance sequence he and Priyanka plays on the tune of KKHH.
Bobby Deol( Abhimanyu)- Short, sweet, elegant and remarkable role.
Priyanka Chopra( Neha)- She is one actress who is seen everywhere today, on television, endorsing various brands, one after other movies in Bollywood, which has made her reach heights of her career right now. But frankly speaking, she has brought back the charisma of Salaam-E-Ishq in her presence in this movie.
Boman Irani( M / Murli) - She would remind you of "Miranda" of "Devil Wears Prada", just the difference that she was a woman and M is a gay. As always, he is funny.
Overall, all the actors and actresses have acted well in the movie and have done justice to their roles. Nothing more could have been offered.
Music- Its catchy and so it was already on the tips of peoples tongue but amazingly, the slow nos look much better after watching the movie which makes all the songs in this album very nice to hear again and again. A good combination of all the moods.
In a controversial world of gays and the topic itself being exploited and humiliated everywhere, this movie is an indicator that if properly put, every topic can be made to work successfully. Good job Karan.
All in all, a movie with little salt and pepper and a topping of cherry. A good enough watch for all the movies and music lovers. Not at all disappointing. In fact, better than expected.
