The film had everything. Top actors, top musicians, top lyricist, good reputed director and a good reputed production house. But the script was the killer. It culd have been more imaginative. Though, it is a well made film, the story would’ve been better. The pre-interval portions are really good and the turning point of the film was excellent before the 15 minutes of the intermission.But the film drops the pace after the interval.The writers would’ve added something.the climax was understood and yet was surprising. The direction of the film should’ve been a little more youth oriented. but the main problem with ’Dosti’ was less publicity."hello....why didn’t it publicize more!!!" .Even Darshans "barsaat" had good publicity and why not ’dosti’ inspite ’Dosti’ had something to offer. The music is really good. ’Dulhaniya’, ’lets boogie-woogie’, ’aisa koi zaindagi’, stand out.’Zindagi ek mode’ was a wrong placement.Even’aankh bhar aayee hai’ was good, but was repetitive.The screenplay was really good. Now, on acting basis, Akshay kumar stands out.He can easily be counted in the ’Khan’s’ genre. but he needs to be a more calm on acting basis.’Bobby deol’ was close to perfect.After showing her superb acting abilities in films like ’Chameli’, ’Aitraaz’, ’yuva’, and the best of her career ’Bewafaa’, this is Kareena’s best yet again performance, she creates histrionics in the 2 scenes.Lara dutta is just substance to fill the void.The actors supporting are really good too. So next time mr. Suneel darshan makes a class-A, multi-starrer film, he should remember to publisize it more as it can help the film thoroughly.Thats it....
