I liked this movie a lot. I wouldnt say it was one of my favorite and certainly not the best this year but it was worth the time I spent to watch it. Keep in mind I never watch anything until it is out on pay per view because there is never a sitter and I cant imagine taking the triplets and my 8 year old to the movies, so it was only $3.50 for us to see it. I really did enjoy the story line.
Ashley Judd plays the role very well. I found it a bit unbelievable that she would give up custody of her child to the friend instead of sending him off to his grandparents, but when she needed help the first person she went to was her mom. Other than that I had no problems with the plot.
LIbby (Ashley Judd) is convicted of murdering her husband and has no idea what has happened. She asks her friend to take care of her young son while she is in prison. At first the friend brings the son to visit but then she disappears with him. With the help of a couple of inmates she finds where the boy is and calls to speak with the friend about where they have gone. While on the phone with her son her husband walks in, not dead, and the boys says dad. She knows and that begins her fight for the love of her child. Once out on parole she begins the search for her lost child. To make the search even harder she is chased by her parole officer. It is amazing what a mother would do for the love of their child.
