I stayed in DoubleTree by Hilton for 17 days this last December although the room was very nice and the facilities too, yet I was not happy with them because of last day hassle.
Incident - I booked the hotel using booking.com App which let me book without any token money. I reached there and what hotel do is swipe your credit card and the amount goes on hold till the end of your hotel stay. Now what happened is they swiped my card twice and when asked later they cited the reason that they were unable to get authorization code first time.
Now twice the money got on hold and after my stay got over the card transactions were showing 1x money deducted and other 1x on hold. I called the bank and they said get the release letter from hotel that they dont own this other hold amount but DoubleTree refused citing they dont own it so how could they release that amount.
After several mail chain the money is back but it was huge hassle for me
