For years and years my family used Ivory soap. We bought into the slogan ’’99% pure’’. Pure What? we never asked!!
Well, when we had what I call the ’’year of the Itch’’ we were instructed by our dermatologist to use Dove because it contains cream and that Ivory is rather harsh for sensitive skins.
I should explain what the ’’year of the itch’’ was. Five of my children had serious cases of chicken pox. Four of my children got a severe case of Poison Ivy and one of my children developed a rare skin rash. This is what lead us to the dematologist and to using Dove.
Dove comes in scented and unscented. I recommend unscented for most people with sensitive skin--no need to use a possible irritant.
Dove is not cheap and does melt easily but I believe it is well worth the money and slight drawback.
