People always complain that our existing education system was designed during British period to produce clerks for them. Still there is not much of change. We should have colleges for grooming go-getter & efficient professionals of each field. Specialized courses and its’ institutes are not adequate. Mindset of employers and the candidates have not changed - everybody wants to become Graduate.
After 10th or even earlier , every person should have the right to select the career of his/her choice. Where are the revolutionary educationists ? What they are doing for the modernization of the system ?
In absence of this, few institutes take the advantage and bluff the students. Like this one -
The credentials of a Teachers’ Training College is at stake.
Name : Dr.B.C.Roy College of Education,
Address : 18, Bipin Pal Road, Kolkata - 26.
A Candidate did a Senior Teacher’s Training course in 1992 looking at the tag - Govt.Rigistered.
It was also claimed that this course is equivalent to B.Ed.
But Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) have put this college’s name in the negative list.
Anybody have any idea about this - please enlighten.
