I had an OPD appointment today for my MIL with Dr. Sanjeev Jain MR/11/43007. With due respect to the doctor’s great experience, I did not get the service I expected. My MIL has a gap in bone above ankle due to an old surgery and she limps. I wanted to know the ways in which I could fix this problem(e.g. inserting rod, limb lengthening etc) as she has developed knee pain in the other leg. The doctor’s answer was it is not necessary. He gave advice for knee pain.
I again tried explaining that the my main objective of the visit is to get advice on bone gap issue. He said regardless of my hope, he will advice only what is right - which is surgery is not necessary and it is fine, there is no use of wasting money. At such reputed hospital I expect doctors to provide professional advice, not their opinions. I feel the hospital should return the consultation fee. I had similar bad experiences in the past with this hospital.
I would now prefer other hospitals before considering this one.
