WoW!!!

I’ve never met Mr. Koontz, and have never perused any remarks by him alluding to this novel. In any case, it strikes a chord infrequently at whatever point something prompts contemplations about the nature of trust.

All the primary characters(counting the puppy!) show a steady cheerfulness notwithstanding miserable circumstances and demoralizing occasions that would incite most to vacillate. The puppy’s part in the story is enlightening - he acts boldly, expecting a "Decent doggie!" from his proprietor; and acts benevolently in spite of grave peril in any desire for ensuring those he cherishes.

What is best in this novel is the characters’ proceeding with eagerness to continue going even with overpowering resistance: One foot before the other, trudging along, looking for an opening, an opportunity to concentrate minor triumphs here and there until a more lasting arrangement is found.

Legends are sometimes shaped from one occasion. Courage comes all the more frequently from the individuals who simply decline to stop - and Koontz’s puppy never stops. You’ll adore him- - he makes the story amusing, inspiring, and critical.
