I was given this book by my college and let me admit right at the onset. I wasn’t extremely keen on reading this book when I first got it. Yes, I am an engineering student and many people believe entrepreneurship goes hand in hand with what I do. Frankly, I don’t share the same zeal of entrepreneurship as my fellow comrades. You could say I am not one willing to take risks.
But a long story short, I did read it(I wouldn’t be writing this review otherwise!) and I am glad I did.
This book, which stems from Ronnie Screwvala’s personal experiences as an entrepreneur, is an absolute treasure trove for anyone interested in entrepreneurship. The book provides many tips and a ton of advice, which can only be compiled together after years of experience. Well-written and easy to understand, the book also has many insightful instances from the author’s personal experiences.
The book is bound to inspire you in the right direction. I would even go so far to call it a guide-book of entrepreneurship!
The book also contains detailed insights about the various problems one might face during the entrepreneurial journey, and what you should do should strive to do. After all, it’s your decision and it all boils down to you.
So who is this book for? In my opinion, the book is suited for anyone who is interested in entrepreneurship and wants to get a basic idea as well as advice to put him ahead of the herd as well as for someone who has already started a start-up. in short, anyone in the corporate world.
I can’t say that I was inspired towards becoming an entrepreneur. To be honest, it’s hard not to be inspired along those lines after reading the book, and it was only with a firm mindset and a heavy heart that I managed to stick to the goals I have already planned to strive for, kind of like cutting your coat according to your cloth.
But yes. the next time anyone tells me he/she is interested in entrepreneurship, I will definitely tell them to read the book. As the author says, DREAM WITH YOUR EYES OPEN.
