Fashion to me is wearing something in which I look good and am comfortable in!I guess most of you have the same opinion!But no one would want to mix-n-match things and make a joke of themselves!
INTRODUCTION:
Formal to me means being elegant and sophisticated yet simple at the sametime!
There are different formal clothes to wear at different occasions.Here, I’ll help you all with some of my formal tips for a business meeting, a cocktail party and a wedding!
BUSINESS MEETING:
Almost every executive or employee attends one of these meetings.What to wear, how to dress are the main questions!
MEN:
Men look most formal in a good suit!A good black coat with a white crisped shirt and pair of black trousers looks just PERFECT!
Blue, brown and grey look good too!But wear a simple formal coat not too expensive or designed!
Shoes and socks pass a statement too.White or black socks with formal black shoes are an absolute must!
Gel your hair back if long or just keep it simple!And you’re ready!
WOMEN:
Firstly too much make-up is an absolute no, you’re going for a business party not modelling!
A simple orange or lime green churidhar-kurta or sari would be awesome, but not with very heavy sequinned work!
Footwear must be elegant and not more than 2 inches preferably!Just match everything right!
Hairstyle should be simple and don’t be experimental!
COCKTAIL PARTY:
One of my best occasions!You can dress in your best dresses and gowns!But the key is not to be exposed!
MEN:
Men can wear a good tuxedo or suit!A good shimmering shirt with plain trousers and a good suit would be fab!
Guys can check out the shimmering shirts from Zod!The shirts range from rupees 600 onwards.
Formal shoes will match the look fabulous. One can even dress semi-formal too with a good shirt or an embroidered short kurta too.
WOMEN:
One can wear a good ankle-length or knee-length black dress.One can even try colours as light red or even blue!
Great pomps or tie-up heels would look great with the dress.
Carry a matching coloured purse.
Hairstyle would be perfect if you all keep your hair up or straightened plain!
WEDDING:
The occasion to flaunt your best indian traditional dresses!Be sure to wear indian it makes a good statement!
No one wants people to stare at you wearing a dress or jeans, totally out of league!
MEN:
A man would look just great in a sherwani!Wow!A black or beige colour would be awesome!
One can even wear a churidhar-kurta and just add a small bandani dupatta or stole!
Beige and black colours with gold and silver sequins would take a little fashionable touch!
A good pair of mojris or even plain sandals would be good, preferably similar colours would be good.
WOMEN:
Women can explore with so many different traditional wear, like saris, ghagra-cholis or even churidhar-kurtas!
Saris with heavy sequins or work, preferably a good palu!Light-green, light blue or even orange and pink would look great!
One can accessorize with good gold and coloured jewellery, and wear good comfortable footwear in which you can walk!It can be heeled too if you are wearing a sari, as it will heighten you!
Make-up can be a little heavy and hairstyle should be elegant!
