“Dude, Where’s My Car?” – PG-13 – New to Video/DVD
BEWARE: If you don’t like the characters of Kelso from “That 70’s Show” or Stifler from “American Pie, ” chances are you probably will not like this movie.
Jesse and Chester (Ashton Kutcher and Seann William Scott) wake up after a night of heavy partying and want food. They go to get in Jesse’s car, but it is missing. Neither of the potheads can remember where they left it; in fact, they don’t remember anything about the events of the previous evening.
The two decide to retrace where they were the following evening
or what they could remember. On their travels (by foot) they meet up with a group of sci-fi nerds who claim that Jesse and Chester have a mystical device that can either save or destroy the world. The problem is that Jesse and Chester don’t know where it is. Now they are looking for their car and this device.
What the two do find out is that they got tattoos last night, they had a lot of money and strippers love them! Go figure!
This movie was written by Philip Stark and directed by Danny Leiner. Seann William Scott and Ashton Kutcher were extremely convincing as the “lost” partiers. These roles are perfect for them and I don’t think they mind being type cast as such.
Ok, I don’t like movies that are so stupid that they are funny, USUALLY! This is the exception. These two actors are hysterical. I can just look at Ashton Kutcher and laugh. So, my recommendation would be this: If you like dumb comedies or these actors and their stupid humor, then rent this movie. If not . . . don’t waste your time!
Enjoy!
