2 dumb guys on a mission

Dumb & dumber is one of those comedies which you’ll either love or hate. I personally loved it, the first time round that is! I have now watched it a second time, some parts had me literally crying with laughter, but others that did the first time round, didn’t. Maybe I’ve just grown up now and don’t find the same things funny anymore. It was still a good watch though.

The film is set around 2 silly guys who live together, don’t have girlfriends, are hopeless at the jobs they get and basically, scrape their way through life as best they can! One of the jobs that lloyd has (Jim Carrey) is a Limo Driver. He loses this job when he crashes the limo due to watching his passenger leave her suitcase behind at the airport. He gets the suitcase to return it and this is where the epic trip starts out. Basically, the duo go on a trip cross-country to Aspen to return the suitcase to the owner. However, the suitcase was left there on purpose for a pickup by two ‘bad guys’ who then come on the run after the duo to get their suitcase!

The amount of trouble the duo get themselves into is stupid, but hilariously funny. You’ll witness acts such as Lloyd getting robbed by an old lady on her motorised buggy, get a cop to drink a beer bottle full or Lloyds urine, kill a man with a pickle and drive around in a van dressed up as a dog!

This movie is great if you need cheering up or are just bored of all the serious movies that are out at the moment. Jim Carrey plays his part perfectly (doesn’t he always) and his co-partner, Jeff Daniels plays an excellent part in the film. The actors worked very well together on this film.

What more can I say about the movie apart from go and watch it! To take a quote from the back of the video – ‘Ace Ventura was stupid, The Mask was clever, Dumb & Dumber is utter madness….Bladder explodingly funny’ – Its true!
