What I like about this show in particular is that Salman is a born showman. Unlike a lot of other insecure film personalities, he is very comfortable with himself and has no hang ups about his co stars performances. On his show, this comes out very strongly as the entire focus is on his guests.
I particularly enjoyed the episode with Rakhi Sawant and the Pakistani comedian, I forget his name. Likewise, the episode with the confident young girl who proposed to Salman was an excellent show. I am sure it is all scripted but it certainly looks ex tempore and Salman acts well with panache.
The episode with Lara Dutta and RAni Mukherjee was a bit boring. Rani with her sugary sweet smile, excessive familiarity with Salman, and unnecessary histrionics, completely eclipsed poor Lara who at times seemed like a fish out of water.
However even this show was redeemed by the ad hoc interruptions of the Pakistani begum and the Indian Canadian dancing kid. And how can we forget our dear Pandurang auto rickshaw driver! All in all the Dus Ka Dum show is nice, wholesome entertainment, a refreshing change from the sickening saas bahoo serials and the fake laughter of Siddhu in the Laughter Challenge.
