Hey Guys, Im back from the fringe after writing my reviews on B&B and Ring-2. This time I decided to celebrate my friday evening with ’DUS’ after an arduous day at work. I reached the theatre - R-Mall Mulund well in time after braving the Mumbai rains. The movie started off well with the number ’’dus bahane’’. So I braced myself expecting a good 3 hour’s on the movie as the song was the perfect beginning I could ask for. However after a few minutes , I soon asked myself ’’why the hell am I watching this movie’’ !!! ? A sleek looking team of Anti terrorist squad ppl work in what looks like a british colonial mansion converted into a makeshift HQ. The squad apparently does not have a dress code for women. Thus we have a rather hot looking Shilpa Shetty hang out in the office in cool jean wear and short clothes. These guys tumble on a plot about some big thing thats gonna happen on the 10th of May which will kill a lot of ppl. So the hot chase starts. The script is not good. The dialogues are bad.. Especially the last scene wherein Abhishek’s boss wants him to drop a bomb on the town and kill thousands of ppl but save himself. !!!!.. How interesting, no ??? Zayed Khan seems more like a college going dude rather than a cop. Everyone u meet seems to be in hand-in-glove with the terrorists. If the script of the movie is bad, Eesha Deol is even worse with a capital W. The action scenes are strictly OK. Sanjay Dutt is okay. Guys, There is nothing much I want to write in this review, coz the movie dosent deserve good words. However, there are three saving graces to the movie - 1) pankaj Kapur - This man acts just too well. He practically will save this from bombing at the box office. His acting as the rather confused and funny bad guy is worth a watch. I hope we see more of him in the future. 2) Shilpa Shetty - Shes an old dame now but guys, she looks real good in this movie.Initially I thought that this was Shamita Shetty as Shilpa never really looked good in any of her past movies. But I stand corrected. She looks real good in this one. 3) The song - ’’Dus Bahane’’ - This song is good. Forget about how Abhishek bachchan dances and just enjoy the song. To ALL film critics my recommendation is - ’Watch the song -’ Dus bahane ’ at the beginning of this movie and go home. - Abhi
