Mislead by the design hype, I bought my expensive clear blue Dyson DC03 8 years ago. It looked beautiful but it proved basically unstable. It wobbles when lightly touched. When using tools or plugging it in, it falls backwards so easily that nearly every bit of plastic has cracked and has needed to be replaced, some parts more than once. The clear plastic seems brittle. In addition, suction is not strong and the brushbar becomes ineffective when clogged with hair. It can be unclogged but its fiddly.
Customer service during warranty and since has failed to recognize or address the basic issue of stability. Initially the hot line sent spare parts but failed to tell me there was a local repairer- and I did ask. Now out of warranty, replacing cracked and broken parts is ongoing and expensive. The repairer is not prepared to acknowledge that its unstable. Holding it upright when using tools seems necessary to protect it and prevent further expense.
