Ive owned my purple and green Dyson since November 2003. I absolutely love it. For 10 years I used what many regarded as a top of the line vacuum. It was a lousy, brand-name you should trust, but it was no better than any other vacuum, just more expensive.
I would spend upwards on an hour vacuuming my house (every room but the bathroom and kitchen, are carpeted). When I finished I could still see dog fur, floating in the air, in corners, woven into the fibers of the sofas.
Each time I vacuumed I felt like Id wasted hours for nothing. It was one of those canisters, so it was heavy, it always flipped over as I dragged it across the room....and heres a tip to vacuum designers - dont design a canister vacuum that requires the suction to continuously drag around 15-20lb canister. I had to repair (which is cut down) my vacuum hose 3 times at $20 per repair. Buying a Dyson changed all that. The Dyson is a design marvel.
This vacuum was designed by someone who understands vacuuming should be more than moving the dirt out of sight. Dyson are designed to clean and groom your carpets. Im completely confident that my carpets and floors are clean. The Dyson is easy to use, lightweight, and actually a pleasure to use (vacuuming is my favorite chore now). I was a little reluctant to buy an unknown entity but I figured it couldnt be any worse than the piece of junk I was using.
The purple and green unit comes with a 3 year warranty, so I felt safe. Make the investment now, and youll save in time, money for repairs or filters, and probably extend the life of your carpets and furniture.
